The Alderfield Hotel Seminary has closed its doors for good. The site is currently undergoing a complete transformation.
The 5-star Hotel Botanic will open on the current site in autumn 2020. It will be a haven in the middle of the city, for travellers, business people and enthusiastic Antwerp residents.

3Motion has also played its part in this transformation. We took on the decoration of the façade, side and triumphal arch at the Botanic Garden.

We can safely call it quite a challenge. The Botanic Hotel is located on a historic site in the middle of the busy city centre. The front facade is also protected. As a result, the task was not an obvious one.
We had to take into account some external factors.

3Motion put its heads together and devised a plan of action. Using some wooden structures, we were able to safeguard the complex façade and windows. We were then able to attach the panels without any problems.

Once these panels were attached, we further finished off the façade with stickers. The XXXL in blindframe banner in the middle of the facade provided the finishing touch.

The side and arch were fitted with dibond panels. As additional protection, we added another laminate layer to these panels. As a result, the prints remain colourfast for 8 years.

Eyecatcher

The XXXL banner in combination with the facade cladding, stickers and side decoration, ensure a stunning final result. We can safely speak of a true metamorphosis.

While waiting for the hotel to open, passers-by can enjoy the impressive view. The new decoration is a real eye-catcher.
